Rosh HaShana cookie recipe Ingredients: 2 1/2 sticks margarine 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. baking powder 4 c. flour Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream margarine with sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, baking powder, and flour until a soft dough is formed. Cover dough with plastic and refrigerate for an hour or overnight. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8” thickness. Cut dough into desired shapes. Re-roll the scraps and continue cutting until all dough is used.Place cookies on greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. *Optional: Add colored sugar crystals or chocolate chips to cookies before baking. Yields: 50 Cookies
